Belfast sinks are fitted beneath the worktop with the front face visible - to accommodate the depth, a short height cabinet is required. A Belfast sink is a period Victorian design bult from ceramic. Taps are usually mounted into the worktop which can be granite, solid surface or wooden.

Belfast sinks variations in style known as The London sink, Butler sink or French Farmhouse sink is similar to Belfast sinks but have no no weir overflow. They have been adapted from the original Belfast sinks styles to have a 90mm basket strainer waste or they can be fitted with a waste disposal unit. They come in metric 595mm and 760mm wide or traditional 24", 30" and 36" wide.
