Schock sinks Cristadur is impervious to staining - the surface cannot be penetrated by staining agents, from foodstuffs to inks.
Perhaps the greatest advantage of Cristadur Nano Granite technology is its super smooth silky surface and, because the surface is absolutely smooth, dirt and residue cannot be trapped on the surface.The very real advantage this brings is the ease of maintenance - SIMPLY wipe down regularly after use with a damp cloth.

Schock sinks offer TWO Granite materials - CRISTALITE and CRISTADUR. Each material comes in its own specific range of styles and colours.
CRISTADUR utilises nano-granite technology, essentially this means we have perfected the ability to work with the very finest granite granules: the surface of this super tough material is totally smooth and has a high lustre look - Schock sinks call it Silky Hard!
Uniquely even in hard water areas the surface requires virtually no cleaning, simply wipe down after use. It has the same durability of Cristalite and can of course be bleached.

The Material Difference
It is recognised by both Kitchen Specialists and Consumers across Europe that Schock granite sinks are without equal.
Made form 86% ground granite mixed with 14% acrylic bind they are rock hard and virtually indestructable.
Unlike stainless steel the Schock granite sinks surface will not scratch when cut and chopped upon. Even sandpaper will not scratch, indeed in the most severe cases of lime scale build-up due to the lack of cleaning, we recommend sandpapering.
Schock Granite sinks do not stain, the surface is impervious to staining agents -including red wine, curry powder and ink.
Cleaning is simplicity itself- essentially the more abrasive the better. Cristadur stands apart in that normal maintenance simply involves wiping down with a damp cloth after use. Cristalite benefits from scouring with Vim/Ajax or Bar Keepers Friend. Bleach will not affect the material.

Schock sinks Surface Mount or Under Mount
In order to facilitate the growing trend for solid work surfaces Schock sinks have launched a series of under mount bowls in Granite. Of course Schock Granite sinks are the perfect partner for under mount installations as unlike steel they do not scratch.
The Schock Solido Series is offered in a selection of Cristalite colours - please refer to the specification details on page 15.Three sizes are offered including a half bowl option.
A mounting set is supplied with the Schock sinks Solido series. However, many fabricators prefer to place the sink into a ply suspension board.
Shock sinks in Cristadur is not excluded from this new innovation with the Vero sink being ideal for under mount installation. The Vero comes with a tap ledge and can only be installed utilising a ply suspension board.
